Since the Riven Tides expansion dropped, things have been a bit chaotic in the wasteland, but the devs just pushed out version 1.27.0 to settle the dust. It's not the massive overhaul some were hoping for, but it's a much-needed cleanup crew for the bugs that have been annoying players lately. If you've been out there scavenging for ARC Raiders Items to upgrade your stash, you'll notice the game feels a lot more responsive today. This update is all about stability, making sure the new enemies behave and the quests actually track like they're supposed to. It's a solid "quality of life" patch that addresses the immediate frustrations following the last big content release.



Fixing the Turbine and Combat Flow
The ARC Turbine was a cool addition, but let's be honest, it was acting pretty janky. Sometimes its attacks were invisible from a distance, which felt totally unfair when you'd just explode out of nowhere. This patch fixes that visibility, so you can actually see what's coming and react. They also tweaked the Turbine's landing logic because nobody likes a boss fight that gets stuck in a treetop where you can't hit it. A really big change for solo players is the ability to drop items quickly when Ticks attack. Before, you'd get caught holding a heavy object and just take the hits, but now you can defend yourself properly. It makes those tense extraction runs feel a lot more skill-based and way less frustrating when things get messy.



Audio Tweaks and Map Polish
Sound is everything in an extraction shooter, and Riven Tides had some weird audio dead zones. You'd be sprinting through thick vegetation and it'd be dead silent, or a Turbine would drown out every other sound in the game. Patch 1.27.0 balances this out, so you'll get better feedback from the environment and won't be deafened by a single enemy. They also went through and fixed some literal "game-breaking" spots on the maps. There were places on Riven Tides where you could fall right through the floor, which is a nightmare when you're carrying a full pack of loot. Even the Stella Montis map got a fix for a wall that players and ARC could shoot through, closing up an exploit that people were starting to abuse.



Gear Adjustments and Quest Fixes
One of the most obvious fixes in this update involves the Trigger 'Nades. There was a bug letting people set them off instantly on impact, which basically turned them into super-grenades and bypassed the intended balance. That's been squashed, so the delay is back to how it should be. For the completionists out there, the "Off the Radar" quest at Field Depot is finally working again. It's a relief because being stuck on a progression chain due to a bug is the worst. While you're checking your progress, you'll see the Late Departure window now shows the correct catch-up rewards too. It's clear the team is listening to the community while they prep your ARC Raiders gear for the bigger balance changes they've promised down the road.
